Miguel Bravo was born and raised in South Florida by two Cuban-born immigrant parents who instilled the values of persistence, creativity, and community. Whether running point on the basketball court or mastering Mario Kart shortcuts, he was always wired to find a smarter way forward.

As a teen, he became obsessed with marketing-- not just as business, but as a creative challenge. That passion led him to UNC Chapel Hill’s business school, where he built the foundation for a career in digital strategy.

A lifelong learner, Miguel stays sharp through the Apiary Digital collective, deep research, and hands-on testing. That same curiosity drives everything behind Learning Paid Social.

Outside of work, Miguel roasts his own beans as Shark Valley Coffee, explores National Parks (see: Howdy Ranger), watches horror films, and cheers on his South Florida sports teams. He lives with his wife Serena and their two daughters, who keep his values grounded in clarity, curiosity, and consistency.

When Miguel Bravo graduated from UNC’s Kenan-Flagler Business School in 2005, digital marketing was still emerging. He taught himself the ropes, starting with a pop culture email newsletter that grew a loyal following and several blogs (notably, he was a co-founder of FTL Collective, a Fort Lauderdale media site that gained local acclaim). He later joined a boutique agency, where he refined his client skills and began focusing on social media strategy.

In 2014, Miguel went remote and independent (and still is). By 2017, he joined Apiary Digital as one of its earliest members, working with top-tier marketers on high-impact / big budget paid social campaigns. He remains a senior consultant there today, while also managing a range of clients on his own.

Along the way, Miguel has launched Shark Valley Coffee, Howdy Ranger, and new ventures like Smart Life Choice. At the core of it all is his belief that great digital marketing blends insight, creativity, and execution.
